Now it has become mandatory for beauty parlours and hair dresser shops to get license from health department of Punjab. This initiative has been taken to control the infection and hepatitis in the province. 1-Start of Registration Process
First step is about start of registration process. Owners of beauty salon and hair dresser shop will have to submit an application of registration in the office of their related DDHO, Secretary DQCB. Visit the health department office with your CNIC as early as possible.
2-Inspection
In this step health inspector of your area will inspect your hair dresser shop or beauty parlour. Health inspector will come for inspection within 3 months after the start of registration procedure. If no one will contact you within 3 months after the 1st step then contact the health department.
3-Issuance of Provisional License
In this step beauty salon or hair dresser shop will get the provisional license from health authorities. This interim license will be issued within three months of inspection. If you are not issued the temporary license within the given time span then contact the health department. After getting the non-permanent license display its original copy at your business place.
4-Training
After getting the interim license special training will be given to hair dressers and beauty experts about the standard operating procedure (SOP). Free awareness material will also be provided to you for displaying at the visible places of your shop. Training and material will be given after three months of inspection by health inspector. If you are not provided training or awareness material the contact the concern authority.
5-Hepatitis Check Up & Vaccination
In the fifth step staff members of beauty parlour and hair dresser shop will have to come in the hepatitis clinic along with their computerized national identity cards (CNIC). This second last stage will also take 3 months after inspection by health officer. Result of hepatitis test will also be kept in the shop during the shop timing otherwise you will have to pay fine.
6-Issuance of Permanent License
In the sixth and final step barbar and beauty salon will be issued permanent license. Business owners will display this license at their working place.
