Minorities are given equal status in Pakistan. They are given special facilities like special quota in assemblies and jobs. Both federal and provincial governments also grants scholarships to needy and brilliant students from minorities of Pakistan. Minorities and human rights department of Punjab also announces special scholarships for students from minorities. Same department has now invited applications for Punjab government scholarships 2023 for minorities. These scholarships 2023 are for minorities students of matriculation and higher classes.
Eligibility Criteria OF Punjab Government Scholarships 2023 For Students From Minorities
Candidates should be current student of government educational institute of Punjab province. Applicants must be permanent residents of Punjab.
Those students are also eligible for these scholarships 2023 who are studying in federal educational institutes located in Punjab.
Students of federal government educational institutions located in other provinces are not eligible to apply for these scholarships 2023.
Those minority students who are studying in distance learning institutes are not eligible to apply.
Department reserves the right of canceling the scholarships in case of providing wrong and fake information.
Candidates should be enrolled as regular students and they must have got at least 50% marks in their last annual exams. Merit is the only criteria for award of scholarships to minorities.
Details of Punjab Minorities Scholarships 2023
Students of MBBS, DVM, BDS, BSc (Eng), BSc (Nursing), Pharm-D and PhD will be given 50000 per year as scholarships.
Postgraduate students of MA, MSc, MCS, MBS, MPhil and LLM will be given Rs. 35000/- p.a.
BA, BSc, BBA, BCom, (2 & 3 years degrees and Hons i.e years degrees) and LLB are entitled to get 30000 rupees annually.
Students of FA, FSc, I.Com. A-Level, DAE or equivalent level will be granted scholarships of 25000 rupees per annum.
Students of Matriculation, O-Level and equivalent level will be given scholarships of Rs.15000/- per year.
Points To Remember About Punjab Government Department of Human Rights & Minorities Scholarships 2023 For Minority Students
All applicants are required to submit attested copies of required documents along with the application form. These copies should be attested by government officer of 17 or above grade. Here is the list of required documents;
1-All result cards, educational certificates/degrees, equivalence certificate
2-CNIC of applicant & father
3-Three recent colored photographs
4-Domicile of applicant
5-Students of semester system need to provide marks sheet attested by controller examination or head of educational institute
Total monthly family income of the applicants must be below 27790 rupees. Income certificate given on application form must be attested by the officer of 17th grade or above. Applications will be scrutinized as per the recent scholarships policy. Punjab government reserves the right to cancel the scholarships program at any time.
