Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) is a public research university located in Bahawalpur Punjab Pakistan. It was established in 1925 as Jamia Abbasia. IUB Bahawalpur History

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) was established in 1975 by an ordinance of the Government of Pakistan. The university started with only two departments History and English. The campus was initially set up in a rented building but later shifted to its current location on Abdali Road.
