The Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) is a standardized test for admission in MS and MPhil programs in Pakistani universities. The test is conducted by the Education Testing Council (ETC) on behalf of the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.

 

The HAT measures applicants’ quantitative reasoning and analytical abilities as well as their English verbal reasoning. The test is composed of three sections: English verbal reasoning, mathematics analytical reasoning and quantitative reasoning.

Higher Education Aptitude Test Versions

The Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) is admission entry test that measures academic readiness and predicts student success in college. Score of this test is valid for 2 years. There are total five versions or categories of HECT HAT test i.e HAT 1, HAT 2, HAT 3, HAT 4, HAT 5. Candidates must apply in the right version at the time of filing their form. There will be total 100 MCQs and duration of the exam will be 2 hours.
