The duration of B.Ed course vary from one year to four years in different universities. It is best degree specially for ladies, as teaching is considered the most reasonable profession for ladies in Pakistan. You can also get this degree through distant learning as AIOU, VU and some other universities in Pakistan are also offering B.Ed through distant learning. It is a professional degree and is considered better than other post graduate non professional degrees like simple MA. BEd Elementary, BEd Early Childhood Education(ECE), BEd Secondary, BEd Special Education are two semester programs, while BEd (Hons) is a four semester program.
Eligibility Criteria For Admission in Bachelor of Education (BEd Course)
The minimum qualification required for entry into B.Ed is graduation in any discipline with at least second division from any HEC recognized college or university. Bachelors of Arts (B.A) are prepared to teach arts subjects like Pakistan studies, Islamiat, Urdu, Indo Pak history, regional languages, whereas the Bachelors of Science (BSc) degree holder students are trained to deliver their lectures on science subjects like Computer science, Mathematics, and basic sciences. Whereas the Bachelors of Commerce are taught to teach commerce subjects.

It is a four year program including 8 semesters and the duration of each semester will be from 16 to 18 weeks. The course load per semester will be between 15 to 18 credit hours. Five to six courses are offered in each semester. Not more than 3 lab/ practical courses will be offered in a semester.
