Pakistan and China have enjoyed friendly ties for a long time. These relations have progressed a great deal, in almost all fields now, a revolutionary change in the relations is expected after the announcement of the economic corridor between the two countries. This is expected to boost the relations between the two nations to their peak. To further improve the relations Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Shahbaz sharif has come up with a transitional step of introducing a scholarship for 500 students from Pakistan to learn Chinese by staying in China.

Under the chief minister vision, the applications for the first phase were received in December. In this first stage 66 students got the opportunity of visiting China to learn Chinese language. These students are currently studying in the top notch universities in China. In the upcoming second phase 434 students will get the chance of visiting China under this scholarship scheme to learn Chinese language.

During the course of education the students with high academic performance will be able to avail several academic opportunities for further stages. Students securing 210 or more in HSK will be considered successful. Students who will successfully complete the course in A or A+ grades will be offered jobs in reputed universities on their coming back to home. On satisfactory performance the students will be given a chance to join further in a scholarships based four year degree program.

Who can Apply For Chinese Language Scholarship Program ?

Any candidate who is between 22 and 24 and is Pakistani national regardless of whatever province he belongs to, can apply for the said scholarship program. It is important to have no third division throughout his academic career. He must have passed the last examination of his career with a CGPA of 4.00 and 3.00. initially the selected candidates will have the training in local institutions for two to three weeks. On successful completion of this course they will be sent to China.

How to Apply For Chinese Language Scholarship Program?

In case the number of applicants increase the required number, the selection will be done through a written test, the ones who will pass the test will qualify for the interview, while the ultimate selection will be made once the qualified candidates also clear the locally arranged courses. The candidates working in the government or semi government offices will have to apply with proper NOC from their respective offices. Candidates from Southern Punjab are encouraged to participate in the scheme.

The intended candidates can get the application forms downloaded from the official website of the education commission www.ue.edu.pk.

The duly completed applications with the necessary documents must reach the office not later than 0-0-2024.
