Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Kohat was established in the city of Kohat in the year 2002. The founder and the first appointed chairman was Brigadier Talat Imtiaz Naqvi. At the time of its formation the BISE Kohat started working in the KDA offices in kohat for a short period of time. Later on special new buildings were constructed on a vast area of tens of kanals near the well-known Kohat University of Science and Technology on the Indus Highway. This construction was completed in the year 2004 and was then inaugurated by the Governor of the NWFP (Now KPK) of that time. Ever since its establishment this Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Kohat is counted among the Pakistan’s best boards in regards to the quality of education and evaluation and examinations schemes.

The kohat board has just announced the date of commencement of HSSC Part-I & II (Annual) examination 2024 of the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Kohat. Examinations will commence on Wednesday the 00th April, 2024. Following important points may be noted:
1: The candidates must fill the admission form properly and complete. Candidates have to attach with the form two passport size photographs duly attested by the Principal of the College.
2: The candidates are supposed to submit the admission fee in the authorized branches of the National bank of Pakistan, under the jurisdiction of BISE Kohat.
3: The candidates must submit the original receipt of the bank or money order along with the admission form to the board office within the stipulated dates.
